Main Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer for the Supply Chain Cost Intelligence product team located in Torreon, MX you will be responsible for collaborating with and leading other engineers to architect, design, develop, and implement solutions to business problems, in addition you will:

  • Lead architecture and design guidance of solutions to improve cost, quality and performance.
  • Lead engineering practices alongside engineering manager.
  • Perform technical pairing and mentor software engineers within the team.
  • Follows industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
  • Collaborate and share best practices with other experts within BCA or outside.
  • Collaborates with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.

What Skills You Need

  • Demonstrated experience in full stack design, development, testing and integration of highly complex software solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in some of the following technologies and frameworks: Java, Python, J2EE, React, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD and TDD technologies including: GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Mockito.
  • Proven experience implementing system interfaces, including API design and implementation using REST, web services, APIM.
  • Proven experience in cloud based solutions (AWS/Azure).
  • Proven leadership skills, ability to influence effectively and resolve impediments in a timely manner.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience
